New Releases: This Week in VR Fitness Games 10/9/17

The first week of October is upon us and there’s candy everywhere. What should you do to counteract all those sugary candies, carby snacks, and delectable goodies that await us at every party and office gathering? Have fun and play the newest VR games! Spend time playing action-packed VR games as you guiltlessly enjoy Halloween candy (in moderation) until the 31st.

Goalie VR

You’ll be facing 5 hockey players as they aim and shoot hockey pucks at your goal. Protect your goalie post from being scored on by using your entire body to block. Practice rushing for the puck and learning how to predict where your opponents will shoot. Compete against friends using the VR game’s Goalie VR mobile app to see how many shots can be made or saved from scoring.

Fitness Potential

This is a game that will have you using your entire body to block the puck from entering the net. Blocking laterally with your arms and legs in quick bursts will keep the cardio cranked up and will leave you drenched in sweat. Using an HTC Vive Tracker with your favorite hockey stick or body padding will make virtual gameplay feel more realistic. Please remember, that if you’re going to use a hockey stick or any other tool that you have enough space to use it. Also, you’ll probably want to wear knee pads to prevent rug burn. Let’s keep the black eyes and skinned knees inside the hockey rink!

Raw Data

This is the month of Raw Data’s full release! You’re a SyndiK8 hacker — Bishop, Saija, Boss, and Elder — on a mission to use shotguns, flash blades, grenade launchers, viper bows, and other powerful weapons to destroy weaponized robots as you steal data from the dangerously powerful Eden Corporation. Level up your character’s abilities and then use their bionic arm and iron fist to punch your way through crowds of droids, or rain down explosive abilities to take down your enemies. Gain your ultimate ability and then group your enemies to take them out all at once or go full berserk and punch, shoot, or slice your way through the toughest of waves.

Fitness Potential

Battle it out against waves of androids as a solo player or fight with other VR players in co-op and PVP mode. This is a good full body game that will have you rapidly maneuvering to respond to attacks coming from all directions. Wear a weighted vest or add ankle and wrist weights to gain resistance that is beneficial for fat burn and muscle gain. Adding an HTC Vive Tracker to melee weapons like the flash blade and guns will add to the immersive feeling of VR. The various environments, enemies, missions and objectives, and a unique sci-fi storyline will motivate you to keep playing and moving as you save the world from an evil corporation.
