VOY Wellness Blends VR Workouts With Luxury Amenities

If you’re looking for a luxury gym experience but don’t want to sacrifice your VR technology, you’re in luck. That is exactly what VOY Wellness is offering, with a unique blend of luxurious amenities and high-tech equipment that will get you in shape while having fun.

VR-powered fitness routines with health monitoring

Currently available on an invite-only system to 70 people, VOY Wellness is a Jordan-based luxury gym created by a team of doctors, fitness trainers, nutritionists, and rehabilitation specialists. Their goal was ultimately to make training more effective and more fun. The team began researching how virtual reality could be implemented about two years ago.

Clients will have routines and programs designed specifically for their needs, based on fitness level, nutritional habits, medical history, and body composition. They’ll be able to have more success than in a traditional gym if they have suffered an injury, as well. Programs can be designed to further rehabilitate an injured limb or even increase muscle mass in the elderly. After 12 sessions, assessments are made against to see if any adjustments need to be made. This way, you won’t be locked in if something changes over the course of your program.

Some of the games included at VOY Wellness have already been proven successful by VR Fitness Insider. The gym makes use of hits like BoxVR, Beat Saber, Synth Riders, and PowerBeats VR, for example. On top of this, the gym makes use of Electro-Muscular Stimulation to make clients build muscle more efficiently. Heart rates are monitored throughout workouts to keep clients in the “orange zone” for efficient fat burning, too.

VOY Wellness plans are currently split into 30, 60, and 120 sessions, with the longest lasting 16 months. We’ll keep an eye on the gym for any potential expansion, and keep you updated if there is any news regarding more locations.
