Time Travelling Navy Seal Ninja Warrior

Look, if you saw the name of Time Travelling Navy Seal Ninja Warrior and didn’t at least crack a smile, then you’re a lost cause. For everyone else, this game is exactly what It sounds like. As the titular character, you battle villains during several periods in history. You can climb any surface you see, and you’ll unlock new weapons as you beat levels. Maybe you can become a Time Travelling Navy Walrus Ninja Warrior? You never know.

Fitness Potential

Because you can climb anything in the game, Time Travelling Navy Seal Ninja Warrior will make good use of the tracked motion controllers. Once you’re into position, you’ll also use them to fire guns and swing swords at the various enemies you encounter. You can even scale a building before jumping off and firing at enemies in midair, and you can wield guns and swords simultaneously.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot

Releasing alongside the traditional cooperative shooter Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a major departure for the series. Rather than play as a Blazkowicz, star as a hacker who has taken control of the Nazis’ war machines. You’ll use them against the worthless fascists and kill as many as possible from the comfort of your computer. It has all been developed exclusively for virtual reality.

Fitness Potential

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot requires the tracked motion controllers, as you’ll be using them to control the various machines you commandeer. This includes not just moving them around, but also aiming their weapons at the soldiers and drones standing in your way. You’ll be able to use these controllers to send jets of flame forward, swinging them to get every target in your way. There are far more satisfying ways to spend your time in VR.

Takelings House Party

A great VR game that you can play with party guests, Takelings House Party uses an asymmetrical multiplayer approach. One player explores a virtual house in VR while up to eight others act as the pests they must eliminate. The rooms of the house each have a different mini-game to complete. In the kitchen, you might need to quickly sort through dishes and stab one of them with a fork. It’s wholesome fun for everyone!

Fitness Potential

The person playing in virtual reality will be the one getting a workout. You’ll use your tracked motion controllers to sift through objects as you frantically search for the pests. If you have ever wanted to slam a waffle iron shut in virtual reality, Takelings House Party has you covered. Five rooms are available so you can mix things up as you destroy your enemies.

SABRE VR

We certainly hope that killer robots won’t lead to the downfall of the human race. The developers of SABRE VR believe there is hope, as they imagine a future in which these machines are banned. Instead, they’re replaced with human-controlled machines that engage in arena combat for fame and rewards. Naturally, you’ll get a chance to pilot one and show your competition who’s boss.

Fitness Potential

SABRE VR requires PlayStation Move, and you’ll be aiming your weapons as you control the movement on the machine. The action is frenetic and there are three types of machines to battle, so you’ll have to be on your virtual toes in order to survive. This is especially true when aiming at targets that attempt to ambush you from above.
