Flail those arms and tentacles in the air like you just don’t care! Become a mythical Kraken as you swim underwater to hide and sneak up on waves of boats. Swim and gather floating rum bottles to gain special abilities like stiff jagged limbs to stab boats. Use your arms to swipe, shoot, and stab at boats, planes, and whatever surprise enemies that want to kill you.

Fitness Potential

Your upper body is going to get a workout as you position them behind you to swim forward and lift them to flail, strike, and stab at sailors, Vikings, and pilots. Squat as you swim through the water and lunge to strike enemies to get a lower body workout. Rack up points and try not to get killed by your enemies.

Breadwinner

This is a kid-friendly and parent approved VR game that will have you sorting and tossing loaves of bread like carby basketballs. You’ll see the bread slowly trickle in, but don’t let that fool you. Loaves will start piling up and it’s your job to throw them into boxes for points. You’re up against a ticking timer as bread flies at you in rapid succession.

Fitness Potential

The sorting part may get overwhelming for a game with so many loaves of bread, but the throwing of the loaves, varying box distances, and fast reaction times will get you and your child moving and laughing. Pretend they’re basketballs and unlock different types of bread to mix things up. Pick the Endless mode or 4 other stages to see how long you can toss those loaves before your arms start to hurt!

Developer/Publisher: VEL-Ocity

Release Date: October 24, 2017

Compatible with: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, with tracked controllers

Price: $2.99 to $3.99

Cyber Arena

You’ll be fighting for your life in the year 2177 against mechanized killers looking to keep humans powerless. Equipped with various weapons, you’ll be quickly defending yourself against waves of monsters and mechanical bad guys. Look up and down for attacks coming from all directions.

Fitness Potential

The fast gameplay lends to a promising workout because you’ll be turning and shooting as enemies trickle in and then come in groups. Your upper body will likely get the majority of the workout from shooting and keeping your arms up, and your legs will likely get worked too. It helps to increase calorie burn if you react in a realistic way by lunging or dodging out of harm’s way.

Developer/Publisher: Umbriel Studio

Release Date: October 27, 2017

Compatible with: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, with tracked controllers

Price: Currently Unavailable
