Hot Squat 2: New Glory is Ready to Kick Your Butt

As anyone who has used a VR fitness game can tell you, squatting exercises are a great way to work up a sweat. In Hot Squat 2: New Glory, you’ll feel the burn alongside some bumping tunes, but that’s not all the game has to offer. Additional exercises, challenges, and bonus features will help to whip you into shape in no time.

In the standard Squatting mode, Hot Squats 2 is exactly what it sounds like and a similar experience to the first game. Walls will come toward you, and you must squat on time with the rhythm in order to progress. If they’re moving quickly enough, doing this will have your legs and core burning after just a few minutes. Just make sure no one is watching, because you’ll look a little silly.

In the second mode, Cardio, you do a sidestepping motion as walls come toward you from the left, right, or center. You can think of it like the dodging action done in BoxVR, but without having to throw any punches in the middle of it!

There is a Classic option that gives you an endless stream of walls to dodge, and it’s here that you’ll work on your high score. In the Custom Routine option, you can change nearly everything about the stage. This includes wall speed as well as height, making it perfect for all types of players. Daily challenge and arcade options also give you a reason to keep coming back and competing. In the latter, you have access to a local leaderboard so your whole family can get in on the experience. As you progress in the game, you can unlock different outfits and gloves, as well as hand poses.

Hot Squat 2: New Glory will be available on September 20. It’s releasing for HTC Vive and Valve Index. All profits from Steam sales will be donated to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services.
