Help Crowd Fund Wireless VR Cycling With Fit Immersion On Indiegogo

Gyms, cyclists, active individuals and even physical therapists should pedal on over to the Fit Immersion Indiegogo page to help fund the VR compatible indoor bike training system. They have set up a flexible goal of €10,000 or about $12,345 and have 23 days to reach it to bring their wireless headsets and sensor to homes and other enterprises.

What Is Fit Immersion?

Fit Immersion has a VR headset that is tetherless by design and an accompanying speed sensor that’s placed on the pedal of all exercise bikes, elliptical machines, and indoor cycling Turbo trainers. There’s no need to spend time fidgeting with angling external tracking sensors, the pedal sensor is small, easily attached to machines, and gets tracked by the headset.

Starting your workout, training session, or ride on a 360-degree pathway or road without a hitch will make a huge difference in how you stay active and road ready. Work out for longer periods without worrying about getting sunburned, getting rained or snowed on, or falling off a bike. Fit Immersion takes outside environments and brings them to the gym or home with immersive VR.

Gym and Home Training

Virtual reality has been shown to pass the time quickly with time dilation and is proven to decrease the pain of exercise. It can make what used to be monotonous workouts into something fit enthusiasts and cycling fans will enjoy doing again.

VR is a great attraction for gyms and enterprises that want to spring for the Pro Edition and order these in bulk. As the top 2K headset for gyms and other enterprises, the 2-hour battery life helps keep clients using it in rotation, while the anti-theft lock will keep your headsets safely tucked away when not in use.

Their Premium Edition is optimal for home use and has two hours of battery life so you can go for an intense spin session or use it for daily workouts. The headset isn’t tethered, doesn’t take up a lot of space in a room that already has workout equipment in it, and has all the same features as the Pro Edition except without the anti-theft lock.

Fit Immersion’s Lite Edition is their mobile solution (kind of like Gear VR) for people who want a more affordable headset and sensor option. All you need to do is have their headset and speed sensor, a compatible Android phone, their app (iOS app projected before the end of 2018), and you’re good to do. The mobile headset requires you to have an Android smartphone with a screen between 4 ½ and 6 inches, 64Gb microSD card or a USB key (USB OTG port), a resolution of at least 1920×1080, and Bluetooth LE or ANT+ connectivity.

What Funding Will Help With

Funding Fit Immersion will help them reach their goal to build a coach and client app for gyms and trainers to use alongside training sessions. Their app will give you options to choose the type of training and virtual fitness experience you want to take on that day. This can help boost gym member retention and keep trainers and their clients focused with performance reports.

It will also help certify the integrated heart rate sensor they want to add to the existing tech. This could help cyclists and gym goers get accurate heart rate readings that could help them stay within an optimal range to benefit training, fat burn, and weight loss. Getting a heart rate reading can also potentially signal to clients or trainers that a heart rate is way over the normal range.

They also want to crowdsource to help fund the creation of higher quality VR content, or more awe-inspiring and immersive 360-degree locations and landscapes to ride through. Cameras aren’t cheap, so funding would help them purchase a high-quality Insta360 Pro 8K camera.

On top of it all, once they are funded there is the promise of a 1-year warranty for their system. This is a fair window of time seeing as cyclists and active folks aim to sweat! If anything goes wrong with the VR tech within a year, even with their moisture wicking facial padding or sports strap, you’ll be covered.

Funding Range

Fit Immersions Indiegogo funding range sits between €15 or about $18 all the way to €2160 or about $2,666 with different backing perks.

When To Expect Arrival

The VR cycling sensor and headset are aiming for a September 2018 delivery date to their backers. You can visit them when they attend the Laval Virtual Trade Show in France for April of this year.
