Synth Riders Gets Integrated YUR Support, Oculus Quest Version Incoming

Synth Riders, the VR rhythm game that makes dancing an essential part of your success, has some very new exciting features. The game has received the first native integration with the YUR fitness profile platform, and a version is also in the works for Oculus Quest.

She’s got a ticket to synth ride

Available as a free update today, the latest Synth Riders update adds YUR.FIT integration on a native level. This lets players easily track their calories burned and other information to enhance their workout. Synth Riders is the only game to include YUR at the software level. Other titles like Beat Saber are unofficially supported. YUR even hired Beat Saber mod contributor Ethan McCosby to assist in developing the tools.

Alongside the YUR integration, Synth Riders also received a free music updated called “FiXT Essentials – Vol 1.” The update includes five songs from the titular label, bringing the total electronic music tracks in the game to 21. In the future, more songs will be added from additional genres to encourage more types of players to try the game out.

Most of the major features Kluge Interactive promised — including a beat map editor — have been released. However, work is still being done to polish certain elements of the game. More excitingly, however, is news that the Oculus Quest version is in “advanced stage” in development. Like the other platforms, the Quest version will be supported by YUR.

Synth Riders currently has cross-platform leaderboard support, as well as six different scenarios to play. Because of how the beat maps are designed, you need to move your whole body to get the highest score. As of right now, it’s available for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality. Of course, the Quest version has us the most excited so we don’t accidentally trip on wires and face-plant.
