Hyperball
Many virtual reality games — particularly fitness games – are single-player. Developer izyl’s Hyperball, however, is an online sports game that will test your throwing skills and reaction time. After grabbing the ball, it’s your job to throw it across the court and score points, and the first player to hit 21 points is the winner. The game also supports play where only one player has a VR device while the other uses a mouse and keyboard.
Fitness Potential
As a sports-based game, you’ll be moving from left to right through Hyperball matches. With tracked motion controllers, you’ll also be throwing balls quickly past your opponent, and the room-scale setup means you’ll be able to work up a sweat. There are also bots that will really put your stamina and skills to the test.

Titan Slayer II
If you’re interested in something a little more violent and over-the-top, Titan Slayer II might be the better choice. Previously available in early access, in Titan Slayer II you battle fantastical and demonic creatures, including skeletons, giant Venus fly traps, and dark knights. You’re able to use revolvers as well as bladed weapons and archery to take down the monsters, but they’ll put up a fight.
Fitness Potential
Using tracked motion controllers and an optional standing setup, you’ll be swinging your weapons at monsters. If you want to defeat them all, your reaction times will have to be quick, as will your aiming with projectile weapons. Fall behind, and you’ll risk facing an early (in-game) demise at the hands of the monsters you fight.

Dick Wilde
Country parody Dick Wilde is back at it in Dick Wilde 2, a goofy VR shooter that sees our hero fighting off disgusting monsters. With support for cooperative play and 16 different weapons, there is plenty of variety for how you deal with the monsters. There are even larger bosses, and in a nod to Sony, a giant enemy crab. Can you hit his weak points for massive damage? Only time will tell.
Fitness Potential
Dick Wilde 2 is a very fast-paced first-person shooter that will have you moving your arms all about as you aim at targets. Because you can enjoy the game with a friend, you can even work out simultaneously and try to play a mission without making any mistakes. You’ll be dual-wielding the weapons, so you can move your arms independently, as well.

Deadly Burrito
The spiciest food is apparently enough to kill you in the universe of Deadly Burrito, where protagonist Estaban Juanito Armando Sabino de la Rosa Dominguez had learned that the hard way. Now, he must travel across the Tierra de Muertos to build an altar and return to life, using guns and explosives to destroy those in his way. The game is free-to-play and its gorgeous Mexican art style adds a nice bit of flavor, but it’s not too spicy.
Fitness Potential
As with Dick Wilde 2, Deadly Burrito is a very quick shooter, and you’ll be moving your revolvers around the screen to shoot enemies. You’ll also have to do your best to avoid projectiles coming your way. There are also sections that have you throwing explosives to clear a path forward, and you can attack with melee strikes.

ChromaGun VR
Finish Portal Stories: VR but want a similar science-themed VR game? With ChromaGun VR, you’ll have to solve a series of challenging puzzles using a “gun” that changes the color of your surroundings. Doing this correctly is the key to your success, and surviving against the hazards you encounter.
Fitness Potential
Despite being a puzzle game, ChromaGun VR still requires you to have quick reaction times as you attempt to avoid deadly objects in each area. Accurate and fast aiming is also necessary to solve some of the puzzles, and the game supports the PlayStation VR Aim controller for those who prefer aiming with a gun-like device.
